i have a quick question, everyone is saying that if you want to replace the stock bose head unit you have to buy a new AC control, i understand that and why but if you have the stock infinity HU (non bose) is it the same thing, do you have to replace the AC control as well?

 

Are you saying you going from the Bose HU to the standard infiniti headunit? If so then the assembly you will get will have the heating controls on it You only need the JDM controller if you want a double din setup where the heating controls are not attached

 

I didn't realize the non-Bose HU was an Infinity system.

After re-reading post I now see that DJ meant Infiniti, not Infinity. My bad.

 

Sorry for the confusion but I got my answer. Reguardless of the type of stock head unit if I want to put in an after market stereo of any sort I need a new ac control unit. Is that correct?

 

YES. Unless you don't want the top half of those buttons working (including the AC).
