Nissan iPod adapter converted to work with G35?

I saw this today:
http://www.g35parts.com/9083/osc/pro...roducts_id=521

Apparently I can use my iPod with the factory head unit and still maintain satellite radio capability, control the iPod songs through the steering wheel, charge the iPod, and show the artist/title on the head unit. Has anyone installed or heard of this? I wasn't able to find a reference to this on g35driver.

I also don't have to rip apart the dash or remove the radio.

Here is the install guide:
http://www.g35parts.com/download/ipodinstall.pdf

What do you all think?

( Is this the same as the USA SPEC PA11-NIS?: http://www.shipsound.com/product_inf...ucts_id=100480 )

This was asked a couple of days ago, and my attitude still hasn't changed.

https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-v...upe-sedan.html

It's not the same, the g35parts one is specially modified for the G35.

For $190, you can have absolutely BASIC control of your iPod.
For $400+headunit cost (as little as $130 has these options), you can have:
Full iPod audio, playlist, search capability by genre, artist, album, song (on 99% of iPod supporting headunits)
As well as, with the right unit, voice control of the iPod, iPod video support, GPS, Bluetooth, XM/Sirius support, HD radio, rear view camera support, MSNDirect (gas prices, movie showtimes, stock ticker, weather...), DVD playback...

If you're strapped for cash that you can't afford to make the right decision here, you shouldn't be wasting money on iPods and fancy G35s anyway

Does this unit charge my iPod while plugged in?
– Yes, it does. ---

What can I control with my steering wheel switches?
– Song skip and volume only. --- '03-'04 & '07-'08 Models do not have skip compatability through the steering wheel controls.

Is there a way to make it play random?
- As long as u have it in shuffle mode before you actually put the connection cable in then it will stay in that mode until you change it to a different one i.e. searching for a particular song or play list. ---
Does what it claims, which isn't a lot.

Vs. a $130 iPod capable head unit:
iPod Direct: The Phase Linear BT1611i features iPod audio playback, control, information display, and charging of select Apple iPods using the supplied iPod dock adapter cable (jLink). The BT1611i allows you to search your iPod's music by Playlist, Artist, Album, Song, or Genre (your iPod's controls will be locked once connected).

This unit also has built in Bluetooth and SD card slot.
