Pioneer AVIC-Z110BT --- How is it?

I've been contemplating replacing the factory Bose with an in dash navigation and I think the AVIC-Z110 looks pretty sweet. Has anybody had any experience with this unit? My main concern is if I would be compromising sound quality by ditching the factory Bose HU. If so, I might try to install the factory nav. I'm sure that's a pain though.

What sound quality from the factory Bose???

I have an Avic D1 and it doesn't disappoint. I'm thinking about upgrading to the Z110, but the $1600 MSRP is a bit hard to swallow for an HU. I really want to try out the MSN Direct optional feature on it.

I've seen them for about $1000 online and I am thinking about getting one. I'm curious though where would you hide the gps and voice command mic? Anyone else have this hu maybe with pictures?

Here is thread that I posted with some issues that I've run into with the factory Bose amp and speakers. Included are some pics of the headunit. I mounted the mic on top of the rear view mirror and I mounted the gps antenna behind the clock in the factory location. If you do a search on factory gps antenna location you can find more detailed info. But it is literally under the dash behind the clock and it works fine. I can lost some pics of the mic later on.

Yes, please post some pics of your mic mount. I'm looking to do my install soon and I was trying to figure out where the hell I was gonna put the mic.

The pics of the mic mount are attached. The pics kinda suck because I took it from my phone, but you get the idea. I plan on moving it in closer to the center of the mirror and concealing the wire a little more. But as it is right now, the wire and mic are hardly noticeable.
