Sedan rear speaker depth?

Hi all. I know there has been alot of talk about the coupe rear speakers having a shallow mounting depth, but I was wondering if the sedan has the same problem. Will any 6.5" speakers fit back there, or do I have to look for a "slim" version? I DID do a search, and all I found was info about the coupe. Thanks.

Re: Sedan rear speaker depth?

I have my trunk apart now for some "work", the only thing on the rear deck is the subwoofer and the seat belts.

Re: Sedan rear speaker depth?

I think he means in the door.. I know for the coupe, near the rear passengers' legs, the speakers there need to be real slim.

Re: Sedan rear speaker depth?

I have Boston Acoustics Pro 6.5 components in the rear doors and they fit fine with a spacer...the crossover fits in the door pretty easily as well.

Re: Sedan rear speaker depth?

Sorry, I meant in the rear doors. Ok. I was looking at some JL audio or some Audiobahn components. Anyone know the max mounting depth? Thanks

Re: Sedan rear speaker depth?

I don't know the max mounting depth, but on my '04 sedan, I have Boston Acoustics SL65's in the front and rear doors. They were a drop in fit.
