anyone know how to take apart oem bose 6 disc changer
Does any1 know how/ have a write up on how to open the oem in dash 6 disc oem changer.
I been searching and cant find anything......
My oem nav and ipod hook up works, but sometimes people bring cds in to my car and want to hear, plus it makes that annoying grinding sound when i start the car.
I do not want to go aftermarket.... My stupid extended warranty wont cover the cd player and the dealer said 600+ bucks to swap for a new one.
they said the cds are dislodged..... I have installed my ipod hook up my self, but too scared to randomly crack open the cd player.....
if anyone has and ideas or lease, please let me know.
THANKS IN ADVANCE

nothing in there
I have one sitting on the table in my basement that is open...
There really isn't much you can do with it and/or check it, or even fix it unless you really really know what you are doing...and know exactly what causes the CD issue...........
It's easy to take apart, but then what are you going to do?

A few years ago I opened up the stock stereo in an attempt to retrieve my cd's. From what i can remember the box that the disks sit in is sealed, the metal is folded and somehow bonded together. There are no screws, you will have to pry it open and then put it back together so that it resembles its original shape.
