OEM Disc Player Stuck!!!!!

HAs this happened to anyone else? Are there any suggestions aside from replacing the head unit? It reads disk check and doesn't appear to shuffle fully through the disc and then stops. It then reads Disc Error FO. I can not eject any disc or do anything with the disc player any advice is helpful. I attempted to disconnect the battery to reset the player but that didn't work either...

other ppl have encountered this. i think ur HU is fubar... the dealer might be able to get your discs out but they should replace this under warranty. otherwise, maybe go double DIN/new HU...

Same thing happened to me on my 05. The dealer replaced the HU. It took over 4 months to get my 6 cds back from the old unit .

mine got stuck about 2 months ago. I had to bring it to the dealer and show them so they would order the HU, then i had to bring it in again to get the HU replaced, then they mailed back the cd's a few weeks later

just go to the dealer and get it replaced, it's under warranty. It took my dealer a couple of weeks to also get the cd's back to me in the mail.

haha they probably burned a copy for themselves then returned it back to you guys..

I have the 05 on my 04. It got stuck so I had to take it apart to realign the tracks. It works fine now.

you said that you fixed it yourself, i've got an '03 and 6 disc stuck, i don't know if i'm still covered under warranty, i'm at 70,000 miles. just wondering, should I try to fix it on my own? (following details on taking apart console in other posts) or just suck it up and bring it in?

Also, was it hard for you to do it yourself? any details on how you got the cd's out? Thanks.

This disc jam sux.

follow the instructions on how to take out the radio.

After that, take out these screws pictured below.

plug in your radio with it exposed and see what is stuck when it is moving.

the rods that hold up the trays could be off track.

OR turn it upside down, and plug it in. While it's trying to cycle through the cd trays, tap the unit with a fair amount of force. Sometimes that does the trick.

Once the CD's are removed? Will the CD ERROR FO go away? Will i be able to use the CD player again? I sure hope so, i was meaning to take the radio apart when i found some free time.

Press and HOLD the eject button even when it starts beeping. Mine ejected the discs finally and has worked fine ever since.
I made a 4 hour roundtrip to the dealer just to have them say they do not work on the HU -the whole thing gets swapped out. It is a fast swap but they have to order the part. I called back to cancel the order and appt. after I fixed it.

Any idea if they'll have a problem with the PA11-NIS being installed? Think they'll hook it back up? I sure hope so. My CD player has been fubar for a couple months now. Going to try and take it in on Friday.
