thought about the double din but decided that when i sell the car, if i want to take my stuff out, better to just put the original cubby back in than have to mess with anything else...wanted to keep the stock look in the interior.

yeah man. forget the double din. that looks cleeeannn.

i have stock nav and it sucks. i do like how its pretty close to eye level so you arent looking down at a double din so you can keep your eye on the road.

I've built one of these for my old car and loved it. I would just like to do one with a Mac OS. Don't know if it's possible unless I get a dinky Mac Mini or something.

don't sleep on the mini it does the job well but I think there is more front ends and skins availiable for windows based pc

hpric, looks nice and clean!!!! what front end are you using?

i gotta tweak mine a bit, not going into standby when i shut the car off but that shouldn't take much time...just need to get some time off work..been way too busy

i have one in my car too ill post pics wen i can mines is a dd kit fiberglassed the bezel and computer is were the radio was at so everything is in the dash

finally gonna do some tweaking to the carputer and screen this weekend...i'll take some pics of it apart and out of the dash so everyone interested can see how i customized the rail system for the cubby...
