Has anyone or do you know anyone who has installed a aftermarket indash flip out monitor in their G35. I have a Alpine flipout system w/ DVD & Nav. I just need someone to install it. I have talk to a few people (Good Guys, Fry's) and they say it cannot be done at this time because their is no kit out yet. Any help would be appreciated.

I am basically doing the same thing also but i want a Clarion screen and an Alpine NAV/DVD. I am going to AL&Eds to check it out. I am pretty sure they will do it for ya! Go there and check it out. I think i am going this weekend! If not there, i have another place that i am going to go to. If they do this, then i'll ask for yours and i'll reply you asap!

Finally did some research and settled on the model of Navi I'm getting for mah G35... I've decided on the Kenwood unit with the 7'' fold-out screen.... the guy I talked to says that I'll have to settle for the little speaker that the unit comes with since I can't replace my stock head unit and there's no way (or so they say) to somehow work the kenwood unit's muting-voice guidance routine into the stock head unit.... but I've read on this forum about someone installing a converter or something to the stock unit.... hmmm... I guess more research is needed....

 

Let me know what you find out, G35Lin and I are having problem's getting to install for a descent price. Another q's where are you located?
