DD w/ Navi, or buy factory nav and keep bose

I want to put in a nice sleak looking Nav in my coupe.

I was thinking of either buying the factory nav system which you can get from $600-$800.

Or should i just get a nice DD with nav, and a factory DD kit.

Can anyone recommend a good DD with Nav? i dont know of any.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Definitely go DD, you'll have less of a headache. A few people have installed the OEM navi and it required a lot of work and was a PITA to install, making it not worth it in the end.

Any suggestions for a dd Deck w/ nav? Ive been looking at a few Pioneers, and Kenwoods, but the kenwoods are too much $$. there are a few pioneer DD's for 6-700 but im not sure how good they really are.

there's a variety of reviews on DDs on here... find out the part numbers and you'll find out what people think of them.
it seems that alpine, and kenwood have some of the best interfaces. Pioneers are still a good head unit. The wiring harness will be determined by your preout voltage on the DD

Im leaning toward the kenwood 6140, but the local shop here has it for 900, plus they want 200 for install. Plus the factory DD kit, thats like 1400 right there. Hmmmm anyone know a good place online where the kenwood DD would be cheaper?

I'd go DD for sure... factory nav isn't nearly as nice as some aftermarket systems.

check amazon.com from time to time in the next month -- it'll be back down to $750 shipped (DNX6140). Or for $1000, you can get the DNX7140 from frys.com now.

I have the DNX6140 in our Honda Pilot -- it's been flawless and loads up incredibly quick (< 7 seconds) to full functionality, and < 3-5 seconds for rear cam on (from vehicle off)

I also have the DNX8120 in my '06 G35x -- love the 7" screen -- hence my recommendation for the 7140 or 9140.

You can consider the new Pioneer line-up -- however, with all their failures on the last AVIC F-series .. I'd wait and see what people on avic411.com have to say about the new line up before plunging into Pioneer --

$785.00 shipped at amazon:

Amazon Amazon

ignore the ONE review on the 6140 -- the guy either got a bad unit, or installed it incorrectly.
