Stolen NAV DVD-ROM
I just wanted to give people a heads up. I recently discovered that my Navigation DVD-ROM has been swapped out for a "burned DVD". I do not use my nav very often, but just recently had some problems were it was giving me a error message saying that the DVD-ROM version is wrong. That is when I checked the DVD-ROM to discover is was not the 2004 or 2005 official DVD-ROM that was in the car when I purchased it. Now I have a burned Office Depot unlabeled RW DVD-ROM. It appears to have data on it that could be nav related, but never-the-less, I am now having problems with my nav system.
I never thought about it before, but having researched upgrading my version of the NAV DVD-ROM, those DVD-ROMs can cost hundreds and are ripe for the picking when having you vehicle serviced or valeted, etc.

I burned my own back up copy to use in the car and keep the original in my file with all my car paperwork.
Nav dvd is about 8gb so it would have to be a dual layer dvd to get it all on there. If what you found in there is a single layer which it sounds like it is you are missing a lot of data
