Rear 6X9's not working
Rear 6X9's not working
I have a 2004 coupe with Bose. I recently installed that PAC AAI-NIS2. The other day I heard some crackling noises coming from the back seat somewhere. I determined it was from the drivers side rear 6X9. I turned off the car and havent heard it since. I did try to adjust the fade to be only on the rear speakers and I only heard treble from the rear speakers. So I don't think the rear 6X9's are working. Has anyone else had this happen? or have any suggestions on how to diagnose or fix this problem?
Please help!

If not mistaken, the 6x9 should be running at all times since they're the subs for the system. When you fade to the rear, you should hear the side rear panel speakers along with the 6x9 on the rear deck.
Check to see if your getting the problems with any other source(radio, CD, etc.) besides your aux PAC AAI-NIS2 input.

Yeah I did check other sources b/c I thought the same thing (that the PAC unit was causing a problem) and I could only hear the side panel speakers with only treble. However, prior to this, I have never switch the fade to only the rear so I don't know if this was pre-existing or not. I'm assuming not, but cannot say for sure. Thanks for the help. I will look into it a little more when I get home from work tonight. Please let me know if you have any more insight or suggestions. Thanks!
OK I am going to reopen this thread b/c the problem I had just became significantly worse! I was OK with them just not working, although I am still very confused why. Even when I took the PAC unit out of the equation they still did not work. Anyways, the other day both the rear woofers started buzzing constantly really LOUD. Even turning of the power on the head unit did not stop this buzzing. The only way I could get it to stop was to pull the radio fuse up underneath the hood by the battery which also took out the control for the AC. I really need help diagnosing this problem...Could it be the Bose amp? or is it the head unit? or the speakers themselves? I am usually pretty good with problems like this but this one has me stumped....
