KP Technologies Navi "Ok" Bypass Module + Relay
KP Technologies Navi "Ok" Bypass Module + Relay
So I know it come's with instructions but its still really confusing is there any pics one a step by step d.i.y. or video? Wanna install asap
You won't use the puple wire at all.
The yellow wire gets connected to 12vdc switched voltage - I would grab it either at the BCM or at the ignition harness. You could also tap it behind the radio, but taking the radio out is a pain and I wouldn't want to have to ever take the radio back out to deal with the wiring behind it.
Ground the black wire (either to bare metal or to the black wire going to the VDC switch)
The orange wire connects to the circuit board that the "OK" button is on. You have to completely remove the radio from the car and remove the screen. Once the screen is out of the way you can access the buttons to the navi unit - take the cover off the buttons to expose the circuit board. There is a picture on our support forum of exactly where to solder the orange wire to on the circuit board.
That is all that is needed to make the module work - it does have an AUX output that can be used to switch anything on and off (for example my AUX output turns on my video converter to display my CarPC on my navi screen). You will have to check the wiring to the unit you have to figure out how to wire it. I, unfortunately, don't remember how those relays were wired as we haven't used them for a few years now.
