2005 nav help!!!!!!

Hi I have the oem nav in my 2005 g35 coupe. I have the new firmware installed and the new map cd in. But its still says im in california when i try to make a new route! Please help me!

I think it's the region you have to change. it's in the settings... don't be afraid to wander around there yourself. you can't mess anything up too bad

I don't know where to find the region settings. I click settings and it's
not
there. Can you be more specific?

I've got a 2004. Different dash style I don't know if it's the same nav setup, but on lunch I'll go take a gander

I think when you click navigation you have to uncheck short menus and then you should be able to go to region settings.

I had the same problem as you. Have you driven the car yet after installing the new CD? That's what I had to do when I upgraded my CD and it corrected itself.

^^ this you need to drive the car in an open area so that the GPS can connect with the sats in space so it can update your location.

yeah it needs a little time to adjust to the correct location. When I updated mine it displayed me somwhere California but it updated as soon as I started moving.

i had this problem when i got my car. i brought it to the dealer and they either reset or installed new firmware and i was able to select a state other than california.

That sucks lol the map only covers the Continental US and Canada

do they even make a Hawaii map?
