Unhappy A/C problem with new dash kit

So I have read other forums on the issues with the A/C after a double din install. But i did what I could and I still havent been able to figure out whats wrong with my A/C, even after replacing it with a new dashkit/ac unit. My problem is that the LED's flash repeatedly on the A/C unit and it has remained at the last setting which it used to work on. ie it is stuck on 60 degrees automatically, so i my AC just keeps blowing cold air. Its getting on my nerves. Car toys tried replacing it. They even checked to see if the old bose system/ac unit worked. and it did. So I am totally lost, I am worried that if I spend 300+ dollars on a ac unit, it wont work... anyone else have a similar problem? what did u do to fix it? im tired of the lightshow and the cold air. HELP!!!

still having issues.

OK. this sucks. I have checked the temp sensor, took off the jumpers on the back, and nothing is working. any help? LED's continue to display their light show and the buttons still do nothing. Car toys is apparently going to have a tech from metrum guide an installer through some tests to see what the problem is. i am skeptical, but I am counting on someone here to help me get my A/C back to normal.

do you have the metra kit?

if so you need to remove the ac controls

remove the back cover on the ac control (4 screws)

check to see if there is a plastic jumper, if there is remove it, worked for me

figured it out

so, i feel like a jackass. After I purchased the JDM dash kit my ac unit still didnt work. so i followed the wires as far back as i could like i should have in the first place. The part where all the wires are taped together i saw it...a piece of electrical tape that looked like it had been chewed up. As I unraveled the electrical tape i discovered a a black wire that was exposed and cut in half. how that happened i do not know. so i found the other part of it and soldered the wire back together. voila. now my ac unit is working normally. i will still take back the metra kit to car toys and keep the jdm kit as it looks so much better than the metra kit. smooth brushed alluminum sure beats painted plastic.
