Nissan Ipod Kit fpr 06 G35 Coupe

I ordered the Nissan Factory ipod kit (999U7ST002 IPOD GATEWAY & 999U7-VS000 TYPE B HARNESS). I have an 06 G35 coupe prewired for satellite with no satellite button. I also have oem bluetooth.

Here is my install:
I disconnected the ground cable from the battery. I installed the Type B harness to the white connector in the trunk and to the gateway. I connected the ipod connector to my ipod and gateway. I grounded to the chassis. I turned on my car and pressed the radio button repeatedly. It just goes to FM1, FM2, and AM over and over again. My head unit acts like nothing is connected. My ipod says "OK to disconnect". What did I do wrong? I tried reinstalling several times and changed the ground too but nothing works.

Are you using the one modified specifically for the G35, or just the standard Nissan one?

I got it from g35parts.com. I'm not sure if its modified or not. Here is the link http://www.g35parts.com/G35-iPod-Fac...999u7-ipod.htm

No, it's just sitting in my garage at the moment. I'm thinking about selling it and going with something else.

The seller sent me another kit thinking it was a bad gateway and he also said he never installed it on an 06 coupe. He had no clue why it wasn't working.
