i checked on ebay for valentine 1 v1.8 but they're pretty pricey. almost as much as the brand new one.
anyone here know where i can get one for a little cheaper?

i wouldn't suggest buying a V1 off of ebay.. reason is, i believe valentine one will only service it if you are the original buyer.. not 100% sure on that, but that's what i've heard..

also, what you can do is, call valentine direct, and ask them for vacation models.. these are basically refurbished detectors.. many times, people order V1 for one big road trip they're taking and they return them right away.. or they are just plain returns that people made within the 30 day period.. either way, if i recall, it's $359..

40 dollar savings is better than nothing.. and u get it straight from the manufacturer, so if there's any problems, you can always have it taken care of.. something you can't get from ebay..

Don't expect the V1 to be a cop detector, because its not.

But it will definetly save you enough times to pay for the unit.
