HELP! Is this the correct sized enclose for this sub?
HELP! Is this the correct sized enclose for this sub?
Hey guys, I am trying to put a 12" Kicker CVR into my G37 Sedan. The specs of the Kicker Sub are:
Mounting Depth (IN.,CM) 6 5/16, 16.1
Mounting Cutout (IN.,CM) 11 1/8, 28.3
Min Rec Sealed Box Volume (CU. FT., Liters) 1, 28.3
Max Rec Sealed Box Volume (CU. FT., Liters) 4.6, 130
Min Rec Vented Box Volume (CU. Ft., Liters)** 1.75, 49.6
Max Rec Vented Box Volume (CU. Ft., Liters)** 2.25, 63.7
The specs for the enclosure are:
Setup - 2x12 (1x12, 2x10 and 1x10 also available)
Mounting depth - 7.31 in. (based on 6" magnet)
Mounting diameter - 11.125 in.
Total volume - 1.61 cu. ft.
Volume per chamber - .8 cu. ft.
Chambers - 2 (dual)
The guy said I could just have 1 12" hole drilled.
Sorry, I am not really familiar with what specs would be needed to double check to make sure it would fit, as well as sound good.
Lastly, the Kicker CVR is already in a vented box, but is taking up too much room in my trunk. I wanted to switch to a more custom box for the G37, and the above is what I found. My question is: how hard is it to transfer subs from one enclosure to another? I mean what wiring needs to be done? Sorry for all the newbie questions, I unfortunately do not know much about subs and enclosures at all...
Any help would be great!
Thanks guys!
