Rattle spots on the G
Rattle spots on the G
Hey I have been tracking the rattling spots caused by my subs so I figured I would make a list for those of you who will be searching for the same thing soon:
In order of worst to least rattle:
1. Plastic piece near the lock for the trunk lid. That plastic piece pushes up against the metal on the rear of the trunk and is loud
2. Plastic "cup" that covers the magnet of the 6x9's. It is attached to the plastic "undercarage" for the roof of your trunk (not the trunk door) That thing is so loud I though I had air leaking out of my box. I held it and the noise went away. I removed mine the next day.
3. sun roof. When the sunroof is open it is only 50% as bad. When the sunroof is closed the roof directly behind it flexes big time. This one is going to be a major pain to get rid of because I will have to remove the darn headliner to stick some dynamat in there. Hopefully it will not get in the way of the sunroof.
4. Rear fenders. Those air flaps--near the bose amp on the driver side and under the tools on the passenger side--open up and rattle the heck out of the fenders. Dynamatted mine up and it is gone.
5. front doors. havn't dynamatted them yet but they are next on my list.
Hey I still have rattling all over so if anyone has other spots let me know so I can get rid of them.

Re: Rattle spots on the G
That's strange. I don't have any rattling from my subs and all I have dynamated at the moment is the trunk and rear deck. My subs are set kind of low since I'm breaking them in abit but they're still pretty loud with no rattling.
