Audio System Problem

Hi, I have a problem with my CD player. I have a 2005 coupe with Bose system navigation. Suddenly my CD player/changer wont change CD's and its stuck. I cant take out any of the CD's because it says press eject and nothing moves or comes out...now it says check discs and press eject, when I do it, doesnt do anything so I wanted to know, are they just stuck in there or did the CD player break?? Has anyone had it happen to them? Also, It started to smell like burn, something like plastic burning. I assume thats the cds inside. Could this be an electrical problem? or how much would it cost to replace this cd player?

Replacing the CD player is freakishly expensive, a new unit is thousands of dollars, a refurbished one is still around a thousand bucks. I decided to give up on the stupid thing and installed a nice double din system.

If you can remove the current stereo and send it out for repair, you can probably get it fixed for a couple of hundred bucks, these guys specialize in fixing these radios: Short Circuit Repair

My guess is your motor unit is bad for the ejecting, or there is something stuck. Try to remove your whole cd unit if you can and take a look inside of the unit. I had the same issue on my 6cd changer and it turned out to be a small motor broke. I replaced it (9$) and now it works perfect.
