Did I make my subwoofer box too ricey? (Laser Red)
I feel i can trust the G community, color matched as close as i could to the car (car is dirty, sub box is in direct sun, they are actually really close), first time covering a sub box, came out REALLY well, but im concerned ppl will think im a ricer for it...

I was experimenting with this before i gave up and went to the normal black. I hate black but it seems to be the only thing in the car.
Sorry for the crappy cell pics, its all i have camera wise at this point in my life.

If you've got some gray carpet (preferably a color close to the trunk's original carpeting) you could try covering SOME (but definitely not all) of the sub enclosure. Perhaps cut the carpet in a shape that would show a large ring of the red around the sub itself but cut down on the overall amount of red. You did good work, may as well show it off, but that is a lot of red
Good looking install though, not ricey I don't think but that's a lot of contrast with that much red in one spot surrounded by the gray trunk. Just my 2 cents, good job on the install again.

Lol no doubt
since we're on the topic of sub boxes, anyone know how I could make a mold like the one made by 4080? I don't want to deal with shipping big things and I've done enough carpentry to make one. Plus they don't sell them un-carpeted, and I want to paint mine.
OP, I think it's very red. Could use better photos, if I were to paint it I would have done something bad *** with the paint.

Ill try to get better pictures.
To answer questions above, im literally torn on the black vs red. Im thinking of combining the two (yes i know how to sew) with some red string and making it some sort of infiniti theme.
Also need to find a better bonding agent, the vinyl is coming up in a few places where it is stretched up to the mouth.

My Dad use to build roadcases and pro audio speakers, so I have a fair background in this.
Use contact cement!!! This stuff will bond a brick to the ceiling. It's getting harder to find recently sicne it uses some heavy chems. If you find **** that is eco friendly or "green" don't buy it, it's totally useless. Basically, if it has a flame and skull and cross bones, it will work. Looks at surplus stores.
