somebody made navigation screen to work for dvd players and such. But not the DVD navigation disc slot itself..

huh? I don't understand?

 

Is is possible to make the screen into a tv screen also with the DVD now that would be nice.

 

The stock dvd rom drive is useless for anything expect reading the dvd navigation disc. You have to buy ANOTHER DVD player/ tv tuner if you want to run it all through the stock monitor.

 

I have talked to Video-Nav.com, they are making the unit for 350Z right now, and they are working towards the coupe.

But after thinking about the Hardware and installation costs, I think I am better off buying a portable DVD Player

 

I am just going to get a PS2. Anyone know how to wire it?

I gave them a call and they quoted my $1700 to enable my stock coupe Nav system to play DVD's through the existing DVD rom NAD it will be able to play tv stations as well. And yes, I did ask if it would disable the actual nav system and they told me no. All I needed to do was take out whatever movie I was playing and put the nav disc back in. I'm giving it some thought. Let me know if anybody else has more info.

 

$1700 is alot.
You can buy a DVD player for $200
Buy a TV Tuner for $200
Install would be around $200.
$600 total.
