06g35meister,

Yo...i have the same unit waiting to get installed.

The DD headunit I have installed now is really low on sound @ the full volume capacity. sucks!

Wondering did u have BOSE? if yes or no, which adapter harness did you use?
If you do have BOSE, did you use the BOSE amp or use the other harness for without BOSE.
Also how is the sound on this unit in the G35 compared to the stock unit.

Thanks for any info.

Great Unit Man,

I have the same in my G and its awsome

Also would be a good idea to set the Advanced vehicle profile (programming how far each speaker are from eachother for optimum sound)

Let me know what you think, overall i LOVE the unit and all the features.

Metra 70-7551 - the volume is great, louder than stock at full volume, but steady and clear throughout. I have Bose and the bose unit and stock speakers for now (i know its a crime yall) but have big plans with a few zr's

Ive spent about 2 hours tuning the system and havent tapped into custom setups yet, im only tweaking the EQ and letting the SRS take the distancing and things of the sort into account.

I will have a full update soon, just got back from florida.

I installed the 9140 in my 06 coupe as soon as it came out, If I remember correctly total price shipped was $1399 at the time. I got rid of the sony blows system and installed mbquarts front and rear. Anyone thinking of getting the 9140 should, sound quality is amazing!

How's the skipping tracks on the iPod with album art?
Still the lagfest it was initially, or does it skip as fast as you can hit the next?

I will take my AVIC X90BT over this unit any day. I really do not like the way it looks, and really hate the look of the navigation.

Hmmm I'm seriously considering the DNX6960 - only thing is I'm worried that the width looks to be slight bigger than double din - 182 mm - close enough?

There's no DD radio that's too big for the JDM opening. Any bigger and it's like 2.5din

Okay thanks. I have the JDM finisher and it measures exactly 180 mm across. I hope the install width of the DNX6960 unit is just slightly overstated in the manual I downloaded to review...

The manual states 182mm for my 7140 and it fit fine.
