Looking at Polks, Infinity for fronts, please help...
I saw a great deal for the Polk Speakers and it got me started on looking for speakers for less than $80 or so for my fronts: (BTW, what size do I need for my fronts? 6 1/2?)
Polk Audio DB651 $39.99 60RMS/ 180 Max
How do the Polks compare with the ones below:
Infinity Reference 6022i $59 60RMS/ 180 Max

Polk Audio DB6501 $95 (these come with tweeters?) 100 Watts RMS/ 300Max
Thanks!

give these a whirl...http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...PPI+356CS.html
these are old ads speaks rebranded under the PPI name...when they were ADS branded they sold for around 500...
put in a nice cheap amp for the fronts and save your money on the rears...you want the better sound coming from the front anyway don't you?
besides, they only reason people here go with infinity is because of their 2 ohm impedance... then people say they sound better because the highs are crisper...which is true, but if you put any real amp power on them, they will down right hurt your ears...
I had infinity's and couldn't stand them because they produce so much distortion in the high frequencies, not to mention that bass response is absolutely non existant.
anywho...your looking for opinions, there's mine.
x2 on the dynamat though...
