Shock Sensor + Siren ONLY?

Hey all, im installing my double din head unit, and ive already had my car broken into once for an ipod, and i want something toward security. I dont want or need remote start, lock/unlock, etc. i just want something that will engage when the car is locked and disengage when it is unlocked. I want it to be a shock or proximety sensor that will warn away potential robbers, then go into full ballistic mode and raise hell when someone starts moving the car a lot.

are there any systems like this? I feel like there must be something without all the remote start/unlock/lock/window gadgetry.

Let me ask you question . . .

When you are out and hear a car alarm, what do you do? Most often than not, you simply ignore it as a case of a nuisance or mistrip.

Not to mention, that a break-in typically happens so fast, it doesn't make much difference anyways.

If your car is always getting broken into, the best advice is simply to leave the car unlocked and take your belongs with you. This way, the thief can open your car without damaging it etc...

I used to work in a bad neighborhood and just left my windows and everything all the way down all the time because of this. Cheaper to replace a few bits of change in the center console than having to replace a broken window, etc...

But in all seriousness, don't leave valuables in your car period. Take them with you.
