Can factory Sat antenna be removed & placed inside

I would like to remove the factory installed Sat antenna and place it inside rear windshield. Can I do this without ruining car exterior and factory nav? Can you please give me details. Thanks

Re: Can factory Sat antenna be removed & placed inside

1. The Sat antenna has nothing to do with the Nav, so nothing to consider there.

2. Almost everyone who has installed the Say antenna on the rear shelf reports success - providing you don't have metallic tint on the rear glass.

3. Removing the antenna from the painted roof can be done, but be very careful. Suggest you wait for a really hot day to help soften the adhesive, then slowly and carefully use dental floss to separate the antenna from the roof - cutting through the adhesive layer. In addition to the pressure sensitive adhesive, the stock antenna has a magnetic grip too. So don't slide the antenna and risk scratching the paint - simply lift up.
