Ok Guys,
I am gonna ask what may be a stupid question here and believe me I have searched and searched. I am just trying to make my install this coming weekend as painless as possible...

All of a sudden started hearing about this mysterious "Bose Amp/Wiring adapter"! From what I am assuming, this thing handles the "balanced vs unbalanced levels" issue when changing from the stock HU to after market.

I did some Googling and found this (HFVT HF-NIS-AMP-2)!!!

Has anyone heard of such a thing?
Has anyone seen or used such a thing?

I know I may be over thinking this thing, but for several reasons (laziness and time mostly) I am keeping my speakers and amp stock for now. I know it won't be perfect and I know what to expect in terms of sound...

Thoughts?

P.S. I have the new Pioneer HU, JDM Finisher, 7551 adapter, antenna adapter, XM receiver, ipod cable, etc...

a good audio shop can wire your headunit to the bose amp without an adapter

 

Thanks Sammy...unfortunately where I live, there are no install shops worth mentioning. I have been to a few in my area and none of them have ever touched a G35...

Maybe I am paranoid, but I don't want anyone who has never done a G to do my install.

 

With the Pioneer headunit and 7551, you shouldn't need an adapter for the amp.

It's possible you'll end up with some noise, if this happens, bypass or replace the amp.

I'm sure there is something like that which exists, but if I were replacing the HU, there's no reason to purchase another adapter to use the weak and fragile Bose amp. Running the speakers from the HU directly and spending whatever you would have spent on the adapter towards a cheap, single channel, speaker-level-input amp to drive the 8" bose sub would be a better option.
