Bose CD Player problems
Bose CD Player problems
I have an 04' G35 with the bose stereo system. Just a few days ago my CD player began making an odd noise and displaying "check disk" when I would attempt to listen to a CD. After reading different articles about this problem I have realized that there really isnt anything I can do to fix this CD player now. Does anyone have any suggestions what my best options are and the cheapest routes to go??
damn man i just started having the same problem! it keeps telling me to eject my cd's but it wont let me? now i have to listen to the stupid radio until i can fix it, if anyone can help let me know please or PM me asap! and no i dont have warranty so i cant bring it to the dealership
I had the exact same problem and the dealership told me $500 to replace the Bose head unit...read my thread on what I decided to do! I recommend you do the same!
Options:
1) Check marketplace for a used headunit matching your year. ($100 & up)
2) Send it Radiomedics for repair, they've received praise on these forums. ($?)
3) Purchase a DD kit (metra or JDM) and replacement headunit. ($400 & up)
4) Install a g35parts.com modified factory iPod to satellite adapter and forget about the CD player. ($190 & up)
5) Install , and route whatever audio you want to it, and forget about the CD player. ($70)
6) Pay the $600 for another factory unit ($stupid)

In the same boat except my faulty HU is causing my battery to drain! I've heard a lot of people buying new OEM HU's only to have it crap out on them again and again. Food for thought if you decide to replace the HU with an OEM one. That's why I'm going with an aftermarket HU where I can integrate my ipod, bluetooth, and Sirius more seamlessly.

I'd say use the search, but it's still on the front page, so you didn't even need to go that far.
