4080 Sub Enclosures - Any reviews ? ? ?

Presently i have a 12" JL Audio H.O. Wedge enclosure in my G35 Sedan, but its taking up too much trunk room and am looking at the 4080 enclosures instead - in particular the 10".

Lots of previous posts regarding the 4080 and that it "looks good" and is a "great fit", but no serious reviews about how it actually sounds.

Can anyone provide their firsthand experience with this enclosure (including what sub you used). My initial concern is that it looks awfully small (low volume).

Thanks!

Internal volume is about .8 cu ft for the 10" and 1 cu ft for the 12", which is about right for most 10" subs, but may be a little small for a 12". I haven't heard a 4080 in person, but I'd get one if they weren't so ridiculously overpriced (IMHO).

I'm building my own sub box that will fit entirely to the right of the pass-through. It will have about .67 cu ft, which is about what JL Audio recommends for the subs I'm considering (10W6v2 or 10W3v3).

I have one in my car and love how it sounds. I am running a 10" IDMAX. THe true sound depends on what sub is being used.

They are awesome. I bought one for a 10w3 and it's great. So great that I bought the passenger side box a few months later.

I use a 4080 box that was modified by Bing for more airspace(16psibrick on this forum) with an IDMAX10, could not happier with the sound. Before I got the system tuned it was hitting so hard my Broadway mirror would go airborne when playing music. After tuning it provides incredible SQ with great levels of SPL.
