It appears one is a newer model which necessarily isnt always better.

They appear to sell for the same price with one having navigation and one needing it to be added on. Nav is not my hot selling point. Just the one that is a better unit for Audio / iPod usage.

The only major difference I see between those two is navigation and the 505 has optical digital out. If your'e not using the optical digital out, go with the navigation. There may be sound processor and technical details affecting sound quality inside, but those are probably not audible on most speaker setups.

In that price range, you can get the
Pioneer Z110BT through Amazon Pioneer Z110BT through Amazon
. 6th Ave Electronics (authorized Pioneer retailer) is going up and down on their price almost daily, but there's a 200$ rebate on top of that, so you can get as low as $720 if you catch it on the right day.

At this hour, it's not available at the great price through 6th Ave. Keep checking back a couple times a day, they seem to be offering a few at that awesome price every few days. Since they and CarToys are the only two that go that low on Amazon that are AUTHORIZED dealers, they're the only ones that you'll get the warranty and be able to do the $200 rebate through Pioneer after you buy it. If you don't care about rebates or warranty, go ahead and pick it up from the other sellers hovering around $900.

Oh and there's a usacartoys selling there too. They're not authorized... If they're an authorized seller, they can't advertise at such a low price... you'll have to do the add to cart to see price if 6th Ave or CarToys is under $1199.
