Question No sound from Bose sound system

Hi All,

I am new to the G35 world, i just bought a G35 coupe 2004 fully loaded with oem nav and bose sound system.

The thing is the stereo works but there is no sound. The display is working fine etc. Can someone please educate me on how to troubleshoot and fix this issue on the G35? Thank you all.

I have the same exact problem, I'm wondering if i should take it into infinity or have someone else look at it i imagine the repair from infinity can be costly esp since my warranty is up.

I guess i'll have to give her into the local ALPINE dealership who do all kinds of repairs and install too. Will update, in the meantime if anyone has any ideas please post here. Thanks.

I have the same problem. CD, radio, and cassette works fine, bt there is no sound. I also checked the amplifier and also tried another amplifier, but nothing happened. I even took my car to the workshop to get someone have a look at it. They didnt even understand anythng. So i reckon my head unit is dead although it seems like it's working properly.

Did you use another factory Bose amp, or an aftermarket one?

replay

I used another Bose amplifier, but nothing happened. the guy will import a couple more v35 and one of them will arrive soon. i will try that car too, if it doesnt work, we will buy an aftermarket facia whichcomes with air condition unit and a huge space under that unit. then i will get 6 or 7 inc dvd, gps combo to fit in there. that would be better i guess.

It's just a fragile headunit.

If it's no longer under warranty, your best option is to replace it with a good double-din unit with the JDM DD kit.
