Best alarm for the money???

Looking for a pager alarm for my G35 Coupe. I'm looking at the Commando FM870. Does anyone have this? What alarm would you buy?

in my opinion dei makes the best alarms on the market, viper or clifford, the viper 791xv , and the clifford matrix 3.5 are two great choices

Do you hear me?

I got this advice from an audio expert.. DEI/Clifford are great alarms if distance doesn't matter to you. If it does, then he suggested compustar. They have unbelievable range and their 2-way alarms are great.

I bought myself a Clifford Matrix RSX 3.5 though. Range really wasn't a big deal as I'm never really more than 100 ft from the car. Plus, the Compustar remote wasn't as attractive as the Clifford's carbon fiber look remote!!!

actually, compustar has several auto alarm models. the 2-way model with the greatest range (about 1 mile) has a "monster" pager remote, which is quite large and bulky. however, the other model is comparable to the dei model with a 2-way remote range of about a quarter mile and the remote is a little bigger than standard alarm remotes. also, it may be difficult for you to find a compustar authorized dealer. and since there are very few around, don't expect to be able to shop around for prices or haggle prices as you would with viper/dei alarms.

i did a lot of research before and i think they are both great alarms.

Actually...Compustar has only 2 pager models....Spread Spectrum has a 1.25 mile range with (1) programable bulky remote also the SS model doesn't come with a turbo timer....the other modell under this one comes with a quarter mile range and has the capability to program more than (1) remote. also it comes with the turbo timer...not only that it comes with a anti-car jacking feature where if you are car jacked you can shut the car off from the remote...that's off course if you use the pager AS a pager and keep it on your waist in its holster.

Either way...compustar would be my first choice and Clifford would have to follow.
