Can I integrate the factory BlueTooth with an aftermarket amp, keeping the factory HU

I am wondering if anyone has integrated the factory bluetooth with another amp, other than the bose one. I would like to completely do away with the bose amp, and use a JL Audio amp instead, while using the BT equipped with the car.

Has anyone gone down this road?

The bluetooth goes into the headunit, not the Bose amp, so you should have no issues if you replace the Bose amp.

hmmm

are you sure that it does not plug directly into that Bose amp?

Wow! that would make things sooooo much easier.

Really. Saving me a big headache. I don't know why I was under the impression I needed to keep the factory amp.

Might just be that the telephone unit and amp are so close together in the trunk.

No worries. glad I could save you some headache with 2min of paint and looking in the service manual.
