Arrow Please Help....Installing the IPOD Integration Kit

My 2007 sedan G35S is at the audio place getting the IPOD integration kit (OEM) installed. I do not have sat radio installed but since it's an 07 is is prewired. I gave them the instructions from http://qmbf9.6r23x.servertrust.com/v...podinstall.pdf

The car in the instructions is an 04 and my is an 07 so they can't find the prewired SAT wire in the trunk. The instructions show the wire but it is an 04. They have looked all over the place for it.

Can someone please tell me where this is located?

Thanks you guys soooo much! As soon as I hear from you I'll call them and tell them to keep their search time down! Thanks again!

I thought the 07s couldnt use the OEM Ipod kit. Thats the reason why I never bought one for mine.

After looking through the write up, it should be on the passenger side, in the trunk area, bundled up. According to the pics, you really cant miss it. Tell them its under the trunk carpeting.

Theres even a white connector chilling there waiting for interface, so its not like there appears to be any cutting or crimping required. Just connection of that sat cable to the oem kit you have.

But those pics are for the 2004 not the 2007. The body styles have changed so the cable (and white adapter) is in a different place. I gave them a color printout of those instructions for the 2004 and according to them (they are looking at those color pics in the instructions) it's not in the same place.

They are still looking...I'm hoping someone else on here has found it on their 2007 and can tell me where it is.

Thanks!

Those guys at the audio store are VERY good. I've been using them for years so I know they aren't just half a$$ looking for the cable. It's got to be there somewhere. Thanks for your help!

Anyone else know where it may be?

My 06 iirc was in the trunk on the drivers side. It's a short connector that diddnt allow much room for the the reciever unit to be moved around. I intalled it and unistalled it myself, so I'm positive of the location and positive that it's a white connector.

Thanks! I would think the 07 is in the same place as the 06. Do you by any chance have any pictures?

Thanks again!

It's pretty hard to miss. I don't have the car anymore and didn't take pics, but once you get into the trunk and dig around, it is apparent which connector is for the sat rad. I know it's on the trunk floor and if you have a pic from the 04, the connector should look the same...it's definitely on the drivers half.

Correction. Do you have an 07 sedan? If so, I think the connector is on the bottom side of the rear parcel shelf.

^if this is the case, go to myg37.com and search "Sirius". There is a thread about installing Sirius (only xm offered on g37). The thread is about installing Sirius on a sedan, and there are pics too. You 07 g35 sedan should be wired the same as an 08 g37 sedan.
