i was wondering if its worth it to swap out the stock bose speakers for some new ones while keeping the bose amp, or if im replacing the speakers should i just do the amp as well? What are some good direct drop in speakers that will work well with the bose amp if i just replace the speakers? If i should replace the amp as well, what amp should i get and what are some of the better speakers that will be direct drop-in's for the stock locations? im happy with the f90bt, but it just doesnt sound good turned up at windows down crusing volume. maybe its because i have no idea what im doing with the 12 band EQ. Im a total noob when it comes to EQ's, so maybe just getting a good setting on that will improve my sound

things to keep in mind...
- i have a pioneer f90bt head unit
- installing the f90bt myself was the biggest car audio project ive done (besides swapping some speakers in another car), so i dont have too much experience in dealing with amps
- i dont care too much about having a sub...the bass good speakers can make is good enough for me

 

i've replaced my amp, but kept the stock bose speakers. It sounds much more powerful and clean, but I wouldn't doubt that replacing the bose speakers can make it even better.

If you had to pick one...i say the amp first. Even if you replace the speakers first, the weak bose amp can't push enough power to push those new speakers.
