Hey guys I have a 10" sub in my 2005 sedan and at any volume there is an annoying rattle that comes from the passenger side of the trunk near the back glass. If I hold the trunk slightly at this spot it stops. I'm wondering if this is because of something being slack and need to tighten or would I just need to get some sound deadener to alleviate this problem.

My car's a little too far away for me to check for certain, but I think there's rubber bump stops that can be screwed in and out to put some slight pressure between the trunk and body to prevent rattles.
Try screwing it outward, or it may be missing entirely. Check the not-so-rattley side to see if there's a part there that isn't on the other side. Should be available from a dealership for a few bucks if it's missing.

Thanks for the reply. That was the problem. The rubber bump on the passenger side was missing so the trunk was vibrating on the bare metal screw. Simply fabricated a rubber bump and voila problem solved. Thanks again!!!

If I was as accurate in the stock market as I was in this forum, I'd be retired by now.
Glad it was a simple fix.
