G35 Key Fob Electrical Problem
Hello. I am new here and hoping someone can help me. I have an 05 G35 coupe. Around Thanksgiving, my key fob stopped working while I was out of town on vacation. When I got home I tried the other one and it stopped working too. I read online that it was probably the battery in one of the fobs, so I replaced both and tried to reprogram the remotes. I could only get through the first step (key in and out 6 times, then lights flash) and could get no further with it. I finally gave up and went to the dealership. They could not reprogram my remotes either. They even tried to program brand new remotes to the car and they would not work either. THe only thing they could tell me is it was an Electrical problem and I would need to come back so they could play with it to figure out what the problem was. Has anyone has this problem before? Any suggestions as what to look for before I pay the dealership and arm and a leg to fix this?!?!? Thanks so much!

Hey did you figure out what the problem is? I'm having the same issue as you. It started after I had my windshield replaced, don't know if that has something to do with it. I also can't get past the reprogram step where the key is inserted 6 times and the hazards flash, once I put the key in and turn the ignition to ACC nothing happens.

In case anyone still read this old post.
Same thing happens to me when it rains hard or for a long time. (like a day).
Nothing works for a few days when the weather is warm but a little longer when cold.
My guess sometimes is getting wet and interfering with the signal. Not the remote signal, but the Communication signal in the car on the CAN lines.
This has happened to me again just a few days ago after the Sandy came by.
