Help with audio problem

Hey guys, i have an 04 G35c, bose setup.

anyway, about a month ago my system completely stopped working.

The radio turns on, changes channels and everything, volume up/down works, however there is no sound through the speakers. Occasionally the sound works however it will be stuck on one volume level, usually pretty high. The treble/bass adjustment doesn't seem to work. The GPS voice still works, which initially led me to believe that my amp was done. I bought a new bose amp, plugged it in and no change. So i'm guessing its the radio unit?

Anyway, do u guys think its worth it for me to drop another $200 on a bose radio replacement, or can I should I buy a new audio setup. I am cash strapped like a **** right now so I really don't want to spend big money but I'm currently stuck without a radio.

Please Advise.

seen this thread? exact same behavior from speakers? again, sounds like the sound processing of that crappy Bose radio has gone to ****...

BTW, if your nav voice still comes out of the speakers, and if you look at the wiring diagrams, there is no way the amp itself would be the problem.

Nav voice-->Audio unit input-->Internal processing through FR SP outputs-->Amp-->FR SP's

Maybe there wasn't a previous post of this problem and I've been in this forum so long I'm predicting its future.

I hope that by "new bose amp" you mean a nearly free used bose amp somebody gave you. If not, I hope you can return it, because money spent on Bose is money thrown into a garbage can. A noisy garbage can.

Time to start saving up for a JDM DD kit and new headunit.
