Just looking for some input on this box...

Ok so i'm buying a 12' kicker and an amp from a friend, for a pretty good price. The only problem is that i can't fit the box in my trunk ('06 coupe). This is the box i'm leaning towards getting

I'll only be running one 12' and just wanted to see what you guys thought about it??

meh, too square and out of place, makes the setup look cheap and rushed, I would save for a 4080 enclosure if you just wanna throw a single 12" in there. Its expensive, but will look 434987659845 times better than one of those, at least in my opinion, but to each their own...

I bought a zenclosure, and kinda regret it. I am running a single 12 as well. It takes up lots of space, and wastes quite a bit on the sides as well. Makes it hard to put your groceries in the back...

I found this one online... I was considering getting it, but decided to maybe just build myself one from scratch. This one seems a bit better and just a touch cheaper.

just curious about those sub setups in coupes... how is the air vented to the cabin? are the speaker holes in the deck the only venting points for bass? that's assuming you actually removed those rear deck speakers...

...otherwise, good luck with the rattles. Trunk lid, quarterpanels, rear deck, license plate etc. Plus, having a 'bass trap' trunk setup cuts a good margin in output. Accuracy's thrown out the window, and if the whole back of your car is heard rattling on the street, credibility is as well.

I'd be curious to know how many of you actually use [Second Skin/Raamat/eDead/B-quiet/Dynamat/CLD tiles/Hushmat] products in your cars lol... yeah I know, not everyone's SQ-minded.

At least the coupe guys can fold down their seats...

I'm still trying to figure out where I can get sound out besides that tiny 8" sub hole that I'll have when I remove the Bose subwoofer.

IB is the devil.

That's right.. in a sedan, I think going infinite baffle with a single sub, through the ski trap (sealed all around), sealing the factory bose sub hole, is the way to go for output.

Bass injection into the cabin. IB rules.

Hm....

I don't think I've seen this one on a sedan yet.

I don't ski, and I like this idea. Document it well, I might have to pass some maple syrup your way to get a copy of the designs. That's what Canadians use for bribes, right? Maple syrup?

...or a Stanley Cup for the Habs, even better.

Might not be IB, but rather TB. Instead of having the MAX breathe freely in this ~14cu ft trunk, I may have a 1.3 cube enclosure built for it - which would be sealed off of the rear seat, having a ~(6" X 12") venting slot for the sub. The only problem I might run into would be the damn angle of the trunk flooring... there will have to be some layers of (???) under the enclosure to make up for the unevenness of the floor. Not an easy concept.

Two layers of Damplifier to cover the OEM sub opening, my personal trunk rags (LOL) to dampen the inside of the rear deck, and I should have a pretty good sounding trunk baffle setup. Hopefully the ski trap opening can handle the MAX's displacement.

I got 9 months minimum before I even start, so I'm sure you'll figure it out.
