Here's the questions:

Total hours spent
Total cost

I hope that new Bose unit you put in doesn't die soon either, the 05's are hitting the end of their life expectancy, and you've a lot invested in that dash of yours now.

Yea i hear ya,
Total spent was:

$650 on a used unit
$175 on a used harness
$30-$40 on misc wiring pieces like taps, shrinkwrap, electrical tape, tools. blah blah blah.

Total time spent: about 3 days work, if i had a matching harness... maybe one day.

No thanks to my friend tho, he broke down my harness from a huge loom to a basic 15-20 wire harness. But I pretty much did it all myself and prettymuch roughy myself how to read a wire diagram at the same time. It's pretty easy just time consuming. I wouldn't mind giving my number out to anyone that wants to do this. Maybe they could give a better write up with more pictures as well.

I don't think anybody would complain about a complete write-up, OEM navi systems are getting easier to come by with more people doing double din swaps and more cars getting totaled out.

I did this a few years back and was wondering if you ever got the fuel economy to work? I just bought a speedometer cluster from a car with navi but wasnt sure if you solved that problem without replacing the whole cluster. If so, let me know!
