pioneer dd issues

i just had my Pioneer avh p3200dvd installed in my 03 coupe. Everything works fine except for the video/photo playback. I had the headuint installed with a bypass relay not an actual switch. When playing a DVD or accessing movies via an SD card all I get is audio. The warning message pops up occasionally while the audio continues to play. Has anyone run into this issue? The relay and all wires are connected correctly(again, I bypasses the e brake)

Ummmm.... did you wire it so that it's showing your (non-existent) rearview camera?

That's the only way I can think of that would screw up the DVD playback.

If your bypass used the wrong wire attached to the reverse wire, the headunit thinks you're in reverse and switches to the rearview camera whenever you're not in a screen that overrides the rearview camera.

Fix whatever you did for the bypass and you should be fine.
