Oem screen hookup no nav
I own a 2004 g35 coupe with Bose option, no navigation.
I also picked up the 04 oem nav screen only.
I know the full nav hookup (with dvd) is hard to do, all I want to do is use the screen with a nav2tv to display video.
My question is on the non nav model are the harnesses there to hookup the screen only. So that it powers up and moves up and down.
Or do I have to bring power to it manually ... because I have only the screen and nav switch.
Thanks

I am almost 100% sure it is NOT there. The main harness that plugs in the back comes from the Nav Control box and enters in on the passenger side of the center stack. The up and down power circuit "could" be their, but I am think you will need to run power. The up and down motor runs off a different circuit then the radio (I think dash light circuit).
Best thing to do is get the harness for TVandNav2Go box and tap into the harness they give you for acc, power, etc. It is pretty straight forward if you have the factory service manual. I think there are two yellow power wires (right next to each other), ground, acc that you would need.
I will do a quick check on my 06 FSM to see what I find.

Ok, looking at these pics, the only think you may run into issues with is how the screen reacts to the up down position. Looks like it turns off when it is down and without the nav control box you probably just need to have an inline switch somewhere.
The M35 harness is the one on the back of the screen and the M37 provided illumination for the nav controls. The M95 (grey plug) provide power for the up/down.
EDIT: Can't upload pics for some reason. If you send me an email over PM I will send you the slides you need with harness details.
