Any problem with bose and amp?

wussup everyone, i was wondering did anyone every try to amp the factory bose speaker? The reason Im asking is because I went to a audio shop the other day and they told me if I add a amp to my bose speaker it will sound like crap. Is it true? What can I do?

The bose amp is not that bad... it's the speakers that truly suck. Not too mention that we've got no mid-range in the sedans!
