i wanna go with the phoenix gold xenon subs and amp but i don't know if i should do a 12 or two 10's any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!! i listen to basically everything (rap, rock, ect)

Phoenix Gold makes great amps, I know because I have two of them. However, I think amps are their strength. I'm sure their subs are great, but I would recommend getting a couple of Kicker Solo-baric S10L7 subs. They only require a .6 sq foot box and hit very hard. I had two Infinity Perfect 12's in my last car that was too loud, competition loud and I heard one Kicker solo 12 in a ported box and it was as loud maybe louder.

I don't believe that any one company makes the best of everything. For amps I buy Phoenix Gold; for subs, Kicker; for speakes MB Quart.

PS great buys on Kicker solo's on eBay, I would recomment the L7 over the L5, but I think that depends on your amp and how many ohms you will be running at..The L7's are better.
