Driver side tweeter not working

So I was driving to redbox today, and while I was driving down the hill, my driver side tweeter stopped working.... When I got to my destination, I fiddled with the stereo, and found that all the speakers on my coupe work fine, it's only the tweeters on the driver side door that wasn't working...

Normally I thought when the head unit goes bad, it's a whole side that goes out... (Like in my jeep, the whole driver's side stopped working)...

Anyways, while driving back home, while I was accelerating up the hill, the tweeter came back to life

Any ideas? Is it the tweeter, or the head unit?

sounds like a loose connection on the tweeter itself

take the door panel off and check

It's possibly a loose connection in the headunit, the poor quality of these headunits is well-known, so punching the side of the headunit tends to temporarily fix it as well, if this is the case.

I think the tweeter in these cars is just ran off a jumper from the mid, then a cap is added to act as a crosover.

I dont remember, 3 days after I got my car I installed components =)

Ah, I do think you're right.

So loose connection between the tweeter and the mid, or the tweeter's just toasty.

Any luck

My 04 just started doing the same thing. Except if I turn my power off then back on, seems to start working again.
