06-07 GCoupe Trunk Release on 03-05 G Coupe

Has anybody successfully done this mod already? Making the trunk release on the 06-07 Tail Lights work on the earlier models?

Ya! I've been looking around! Even in google and didn't really find anything! I wanted to see if there was a DIY about it!

The hang up was security - the button is only active when the IKey is close. You could wire the button to work whenever the car is turned off and unlocked, but that, to me anyway, is still very unsecure. It would be nice if you could set it up so it only worked when you were holding the "trunk pop" button on the keyfob!
