diy for 06 tails and trunk release??

hey i got 06 tails on the way, anyone have a diy for tail light removal and how to ground wires so that you can use the trunk release button??

No one has configured their pre-06 coupe to work with the 06+ taillight trunk release button yet as far as I am aware of.

ive actually heard that someone had grounded wires to make it work. hope you can thatd be a cool feature for the 350 i spent on em, anyone paint the button red yet? i plan to do that

How difficult is it to swap the taillights from an 06 to and 05?

I got a set of them coming as well, would be nice to get the button to work, but if its too much hassle then I think I can live with the button just not being used. If anyone has any more info on it, I would love to see it done.

Supposedly it has finally been done, just in the last week or so. No DIY writeup though.

i'm surprised it took so long

if i had an 03-05 and did the tail light swap i would've just wired it myself. shouldn't be hard at all (assuming the 03-05 uses the popper style as well)
