Exclamation Pioneer AVH-p3200BT or Clarion VX400???

Looking to Install a new HU since my Circuit board went out and wanted to know what you would chose between these two. (Pioneer AVH-p3200BT or Clarion VX400). They are in my budget but if someone has a better option in the $350-$400 range, do let me know. Thanks.

I have the Clarion. Just to let you know, you are going to have to eventually get an external amp. The HU has built in crossovers and since the Bose amp does the crossover settings in the OEM set up, it does not play well with the HU. I can not turn off the subwoofer output.

Which is fine with me as I am installing a 5 amp system.

just my .02 cents

Pioneer!

The 3200BT is so good, I wish I didn't want voice control or navigation to make me spend for the Z110BT.

Pioneer was my first choice, but the price was a little high for me. Nice choice though.

VX400 and and 3200BT are so close in price that I can't see it being a deciding factor, but so long as you're happy with it, it's fine.

I was originally going to go through Crutchfield for the whole set up.

The Pioneer was $449 new, and the Clarion was $449 open box.

I went searching the net and found the Clarion for $370 shipped, but could not find a better price on the Pioneer.

@Wrathernaut: deciding factor was the additional amp i would have had to get. spoolinupblue had that issue, so i went with the pioneer.

I got my 99-7604B DD kit for $170 after taxes and shipping and got my Pioneer for $350 after shipping and taxes.

Doesn't sound too bad with those crazy taxes.

It seems the issues w/bose amp may be a 2003/04 thing, but going by the FSM, there's nothing different about the way the amp works or the connections to it

You still need to buy harness and the steering control unit? unless it was included in your DD kit. Where did you get it?

I'm going to go DD also..
