Front speakers stopped working?

Ok so to start off I have the factory non bose system. The front speakers were slightly blown and rattling so until I could afford a good set/system I bought a cheep set from my work...Any way, I first installed the drivers side, everything went smooth and I turned the radio on to make sure it played and had no rattles, perfect. I jumped to the other side, installed it identically the same way as the driver side. I turned the radio on again to test this side but the speaker wasnt playing, I thought maybe there was a loose wire or something but I soon realized that the driver side wasnt playing either ...now there are small tweeters in the center of these cheep speakers, they work, but the speaker itself is not playing...Ive checked and rechecked all my wires, its all solid and the small tweeters in the center still play but nothing from the actual speaker. If anyone can offer me some insight it would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks, James

p.s. I also took the speakers back and tried a new set to see if maybe they were so cheap that they blew that quick but getting the same results...

Very hard to diagnose over the forum, so -
Throw the rear speakers in the front holes and don't have anything in the rear for now. If you're lucky they'll still work and you'll have a front sound stage to get you buy while you save for a better system.

If you still get no sound from those speakers, congrats on toasting your stock radio, you have an excuse for something better.

Ya that was my worst fear...Correct me if Im wrong but aren't the rears 6x9's? maybe not since you suggest putting them up front? And if the HU was toast, I would assume its not sending signal to the front speakers, so why would the tweeters in the center of the speaker work but not the speaker itself? Then again Im relatively new to audio systems so idk..

Rear deck are 6x9s rear sides are same as front.

If something cooked in the headunit so it's not putting out enough power for the main speakers or can't reproduce audio that low... like I said, very hard to say.
