well i kinda have an odd ball situation.
1. when i am playing the cd player in my g35 coupe if i accel hard i loose my left speakers. If i hit the breaks they come back on. But then they go back off. The funny thing is they only do this on cd mode. The radio doesnt do this. Do you think i might have a loose wire or maybe something else. I havent torn into it yet wanted to see what to expect before i do.

2. Do i have to do the big mod to the temp control etc if i am not doing a double din. Do i have to buy the parts from japan and mod the climate control etc to do a single din install.

Fairly common problem. You can pay a few hundred for repairs, find a replacement in the marketplace, or follow the DDin shopping list sticky to get all the parts you need.

If you go the Metra route, it will support a single-din just fine.
