AVH-P4100DVD on 04 G35C with Bose
AVH-P4100DVD on 04 G35C with Bose
Just got done installing it. finally got rid of the damned cassette deck.
Using the JDM trim, moved the dual climate control button over from the stock HU.

some of you were asking how to unlock the a/c plug on the factory harness.
this is locked state. (you can also see the PAC remote wires being tapped
into the factory harness in the background
).

this is un-locked. you can see that 2 clips on the back are slided back.
I just used a pick-tool.

zip-tied the resistor wiring onto the PAC so that it does not tear apart...

hole for the USB that goes into the cubby. the circle and line is for my EZ
felt how i would cut it (next pict)

here's how it looks inside. the color of the EZ felt is actually closer to
stock but the camera's flash made it look werd...

i decided to use up my normally-closed push switch to do the video bypass
inside the cubby. you can get this little switch from Radioshack. or you
can make an auto one using a relay... or buy a pre-fab'ed one off ebay.

bezel trim to rid the gap between the JDM trim and the HU. this trim came
with the 4100DVD. you can also buy a scosche DD trim from amazon if you
need one.

the trim was mounted onto the JDM trim on the inside using thin double
stick tape and some e-tape. otherwise it will rattle.

another angle.

I prefer high-temp hot-melt glue over double stick tape, but otherwise, good install.
I wish they still included the trim with the newer DD units.
Oh, and good shot on the harness the PAC connects to, I might use that one for people confused on how to wire it up.
